Anna Mikkelsen Jensen was the daughter of Thomas and Helene Sievertsen. Anna is pictured here about 1940.
Thomas came to the Chicago area in 1887, followed by his wife Helene and children, but they returned to Flensburg, Schleswig-Holstein that same year. Helene divorced Thomas but all three children re-emigrated between the years 1895-1903. In 1906 Thomas married widow Catherina Petersen in Chicago.

Harry Mikkelsen, in his West Point uniform. Harry was the son of Anton (Tony) Mikkelsen, Thomas' son with Helene Sievertsen.
Catherine Mikkelsen is at the far right; otherwise these folks remain unidentified. The photo appears to have been taken at the same time as the photo above. The gentleman at the far left bears a resemblance to Catherine and may be one of her brothers.

Catherine's grave site in Mt. Greenwood Cemetery, Blue Island, Chicago. Her daughter Florence and son-in-law Walter are buried near her, as are sons from her first marriage, Louis and Peter Petersen. Thomas Mikkelsen was buried at Oakwood Cemetery in Chicago; Catherine's first husband Hans Petersen is buried at Pilgrim's Rest, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
