Click any of the cities or countries at left for a larger image of the map. There are a number of sources for maps besides the ones listed here. You may want to check maps.google.com for more details. Also keep in mind that modern borders may not match the country definitions as they were one or two hundred years ago when our ancestors lived there. Denmark, in particular, has undergone several border disputes resulting in a shift of soverignty for Schleswig-Holstein, which at one time was part of Denmark but is now in Germany.
